Rainfall Monitoring

In 2002, a group of local community members began recording rainfall data from 6 different stations in Lawrence County. Currently, we have 6 volunteers (6 stations) in the program who collect monthly data and send it into the Conservation District where it is recorded and analyzed once a year. This information helps us to understand the local weather patterns within the community, which can be beneficial for emergency planners and our farming community. Below is the Annual Report for the data collected in 2023 and historical data from 2014- 2024.
