John Hudak has been a real life saver for the District this year. A graduate of
Erie Business Center South, New Castle Campus, with
an Associate Degree in Computer Science, he has given up about 10 hours per week to help out at the District.
Initially,
John set about to update our website, and he has done a wonderful job at that. In addition, he has cleaned up all of the District’s
computers, making our work run more smoothly.
John has pitched in in other areas as well, helping to maintain city lots in our Urban
Lot Revegetaion Project, and assisting at environmental education events.
Volunteer time with the District comes with certain gifts
for the amount of hours donated. John has not only met but exceeded those hours. For that, we present him with a District LED flashlight,
thermos, insulated field bag, and T-shirt.
With the loss of three staff members this past summer, John’s selfless donation of time
to the District is very much appreciated, and we are pleased to present him with the Conservation Volunteer Award.
