In the lower portion of the watershed, the small community of Willow Grove is situated. It is a popular fishing area, but the stream had been severely degraded over the years. Severe bank erosion and sedimentation affected the water quality and altered the stream flow. Tree canopy had been lost from unstable stream banks and trash and debris from a failed dam obstructed stream flow. With cooperation of the PA Fish and Boat Commission, log and stone aquatic habitat structures were installed and native vegetation planted along the banks. Cleanup of debris was completed with the help of volunteers.
